Area Information
GROUNDS
The Pine Ridge area is situated in the picturesque rolling hills of Northumberland County. The scenic area has farmlands, hayfields, cereal crops and idle fields with natural cover. Ponds are both natural and man-made and are usually fringed with cattails or wild grasses. Very often, water entries may be viewed from great distances. These sites contain challenging hazards such as dead trees and logs or aquatic vegetation. In the fall of the year, fields may display high cover, grazed pastures or harvested crops. We have also found new properties to use in conjunction with existing test sites. To further view the area, why not check out the NRCC website where our 2006 Amateur National event is still displayed.
WEATHER
At this trial, we can look forward to sunny days with temperatures normally around 18-20 degrees Celsius (60 – 70 f) – a hint of autumn with reminders of summer all week. Some of the maple trees will have already started their beautiful fall colours. That being said, field trailers know to expect any weather any time.
DINING
Some evenings don’t have scheduled events and we suggest you check out the area for the excellent variety of casual and fine dining.
